A Thank-You Prayer

How can You love me?
How can You still care?
Why after all I have done
Are You still there?

I don't understand it;
I know I never will,
but Your endless love surrounds me
And whispers, "My daughter, peace, be still."

I was broken and You raised me.
I was gone; You brought me back.
Even in the darkest of nights
Your love shone through the black.

I'll never doubt Your faith again.
I always will believe.
You've shown me just how much You care----
After all, You died for me.
